10/20/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures Texas Carson is a 3B/RHP who can swing it. At the plate, he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack, crushing the ball to the deep parts of the park. At 3B, he has plus lateral range, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping across the diamond. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 80-84 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all pitches. A projectable 3B, Carson has a big upside and will get looks from top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Connor is an athletic and talented 2021 2-way prospect. At SS, Connor fields the ball in a squared position, he presents a low/early glove, and has a clean exchange to throw. He's aggressive on slow rollers. On double plays, Connor makes accurate throws and has good footwork off the bag. At the plate, Connor starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and has good pitch recognition. He has a good approach at the plate, attacks the inside part of the ball, and creates backside drive with the lower half. In game, Connor did a good job jumping on the fastball early in counts. He had an inside the park homerun as well. On the bump, Connor has confidence in all three of his pitches and attacks the strike zone. He gathers over the back leg, separates on time, and works north to south in his delivery. Connor was eager to learn and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Connor continued to show as a prospect while at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Connor shows good footwork around the ball and plays through well. He has a quick release on his throws and keeps them accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid getting into his load and comes through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. Connor is a skilled prospect who has upside on the diamond.

07/18/2017 - National Tryout Plus - Highland Park (DFW), TX Connor is a talented 3B/RHP prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2021. Offensively, Connor has a square, athletic stance with his weight on his heels. He has a good load with a square stride as his lower half leads his swing. Connor shows an on-plane swing path with a good bat angle through the zone producing square contact. He has a line drive approach with the ability to show consistent contact to all fields. In the field, Connor plays with active footwork and cover good ground. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a low, square position. Connor has a quick exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate with online carry across the diamond. On the mound, Connor has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He has a clean arm action and extends through his release. Connor stays square to home plate and rotates with his core towards his target as he finishes with his chest over his front knee. His curveball has good depth and his changeup has good arm side run. Overall, Connor is an intriguing prospect who has the right approach to the game and high upside to get even better.

12/20/2016 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 Connor is a young 2B/RHP who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Connor has active pre-pitch movements, soft hands and a strong arm across the diamond. At the plate Connor shows discipline, and consistently swings at pitches in the hitting zone. He has a controlled approach with good rhythm, backside drive and the ability to spray the ball to all fields. If Connor works on keeping his front side in, he will consistently stay inside the ball and get extension through the zone. As a pitcher, Conner has run and command of his fastball. If he works on getting extension out in front of his body he will be more consistent filling up the strike zone. Connor's a coachable player and made good adjustments over the week. We look forward to seeing his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
