02/23/2014 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Coup continues to shine at the plate. Offensively, he gets back into a strong loaded position and delivers the barrel with authority. He drives and extends through the zone with the ball jumping off of his barrel. At 1B, Connor moves quickly for a big guy and fields the ball cleanly. He has good footwork around the bag and can make adjustments to inaccurate throws. A power hitter - Look for this guy to be a run producer.

12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Connor is a smart, competitive player who showed well at 1st base during Pirate City. Defensively, Connor has a solid glove, he fields out front, and he makes plays consistently. He can pick out of the dirt and delivers the ball with accuracy and carry to his target. On the hill, Connor has good overall mechanics, level shoulders, and he mixes speeds well. At the plate, Connor has good balance, a square set-up, and an activated load. He has good hand-eye coordination and squares the ball up well on the barrel.

08/04/2013 - College PREP - Columbus, OH Connor is a big and strong 1B who can swing it. This righty shows power at the plate with the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He is aggressive, jumping on the first pitch and uses his lower 1/2 well. He will fit in the clean up spot with his run producing ability. Defensively, he shows quick actions for a big guy. He has good bag awareness and a soft mitt with the ability to pick balls out of the dirt. Connor is a talented prospect whose bat will take him a long way.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
