11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Stockton, CA Connor is a C/OF prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with strength present. At C, he shows quick feet and presents a low target. Good lateral movement, with good blocking angles, and centers the baseball. Works thumb under, with a quick exchange, into a 3/4 release point. Made on-line throws to second base with an arm velocity up to 82mph and his best pop time was 2.2 seconds. In the OF he shows good body control at baseball and ability to run down balls in all directions. Works behind the baseball and made accurate throws into infield. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Relaxed setup, with smooth rhythm, and ability to control the barrel. Direct barrel path as he hit hard line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 74mph during BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see Connor having a bright future on the baseball field.

07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Connor is a lean and athletic catcher in the 2025 class. He displays all the intangibles of being an energetic leader behind the plate. Shows he is a solid receiver with a low set-up and quiet base. Replaces his feet well on his throws and gains a short arm action for a 2.30 pop. Arm strength is there at 82 and working to stay in his legs will improve quickness of the release. At the plate, he proves to have a line drive stroke and can spray the ball from line to line. Has strike zone awareness and will battle with 2 strikes. Overall, Connor is a hard-working player and is a great teammate. He is a must follow in the 2025 class.

06/18/2023 - National Showcase - Fresno, CA Connor is an athletic C/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in 2.32 range with accuracy / carry (82 mph velocity) on his throws. He will control the running game with his feet /arm. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. With 2 years to further develop, Connor has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
