05/28/2023 - National Showcase - Minneapolis, MN Connor is a LHP/1B who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame strong build with plenty of room to add more strength throughout. At 1B, he starts with efficient feet and takes aggressive angles to the baseball. Creates good angles glove side, with good glove actions, and fields from a square fielding position. A long/loose arm action into a high 3/4 release point with consistent throws to second base. Showed good footwork around the bag. On the mound, he has a projectible frame with long levers. He works with good tempo and throws with intent. Throws a FB that sits 76-81mph with some arm side run, a 2/8 shaped slider that flashes good depth through the strike zone, and a changeup with sinking action that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen. At the plate, he hits from an upright and closed stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. He takes an aggressive hack and shows ability to get his pitch. Hit baseballs to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph during BP. With another year of development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
