08/05/2019 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Connor is an athletic and talented 2021 3B prospect that was eager to learn. At the hot corner, Connor is on time with his prep step, he has active feet to the ball, and makes accurate throws. He gets around the ball and makes the routine play. He needs to continue to judge the speed of the ball and play through the backhand. At the plate, Connor starts in an open stance, he has a simple load, and had good separation. He needs to continue to get to balance, create backside drive with his lower half, and look to drive the ball gap to gap. Connor will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

03/24/2019 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Connor is a tall, lean 3B who will graduate in 2021. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is clean but will benefit by presenting more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Connor has abilities with a lot of room to continue to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
