10/09/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Connor is a RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Connor gathers over the rubber and works inline toward the plate. He takes a proper stride and finishes square to his target. Connor operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph. Breaking ball sits from 52-53mph. Changeup sits from 59-61mph. Loosening his arm action can help Connor improve his pitch command. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with center balance. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half, spraying the ball to all fields. Connor can barrel up more baseballs by working through a more level swing path. Overall, Connor is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

08/05/2019 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Connor continues to shine on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active but needs to be more aggressive in attacking ground balls and play through with his body. Glove action is action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Working to get stride foot down sooner to be on time will aid in improving hitting abilities. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he has a good overall delivery, a good arm action, and he rotates his hips through to his target. Fastball showed a range of 47-49 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

06/09/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Connor is a young, thin, 2-way player who pitches and plays SS. On the mound, Connor stands over the rubber well balanced, he keeps his eyes on target, and has a controlled landing toward home plate. He separates on time and is around the zone with his pitches. Defensively, Connor has good range, he fields aggressively, and he covers ground. He works low to high, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency across the diamond. At the plate, Connor has a square/athletic set-up, good balance, and a level swing path. He has a direct barrel and he uses some lower body. Connor can improve with work on the following.

Pitching
1. Windup
2. Arm action
3. Finish

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
