01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Connor continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach, flashing gap to gap pop. On the mound, this righty has a 2 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. Fastball shows a range of 81-83 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Connor has a lot of potential and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Connor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft /sure and he presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields well with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, he displays a sound / repeatable delivery, working in line and on time allowing his arm to work loose / free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 76-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Connor continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an above average runner at 7.27. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 3 for 4 with a 4 BB as he displays a solid eye and patient approach. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 74-76 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is a plus as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock to the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

05/12/2019 - College PREP - Justin (DFW), TX Connor is a 6'3 RHP/SS that has a ton of upside as a 2023. On the mound Connor gathers over the rubber and strides to the target with good direction. His arm action is clean and repeatable but could benefit from some increased intent and some more off speed consistency. The FB is 77-78 with some arm side run at times. The CB is 66-69 with 10-4 action and gradual break. The CH is 68-70 and deceptive with FB arm speed. In the field Connor makes consistent throws and works efficiently on double plays. With some agility work he should see considerable improvement at SS. Connor swings the bat well making consistent and square contact. He sets up in an athletic stance and creates rhythm to get on time. He has explosive bat speed that gets on plane to drive the ball to all fields. Overall, as a 2023 graduate Connor has a ton of upside. As he continues to get into the weight room and grow into his body, this is a two way player to follow.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
