01/27/2024 - National Showcase - Bothell (Seattle), WA Connor is a 2026 2B/OF prospect with an athletic frame at 5'9" 150 pounds. In the OF, Connor shows off fluid movements to the baseball and does a great job of staying behind the ball. He gets a great drop step on balls hit behind him and he takes great routes to the baseball. He has plus range to the glove side and he does a nice job of getting in a low fielding position and shows off a nice glove lane. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws with strength online to his targets. At second, Connor's footwork fits the position and he does a great job of putting his body in the proper spot. He has agile range to the ball and he does a nice job of getting in a low fielding position and working through the ball. He fields out in front with firm hands and shows off a great backhand. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws to his targets. He is able to change arm slots when necessary and he does well to follow his flips on double plays. At the plate, he starts in an open stance and he gets a good load. He works hard to maintain smooth movements in the box and he does a nice job of keeping his balance centered. He puts a lot of effort in staying short to the baseball and he is capable of making hard, loud contact, especially to the opposite field. He does a nice job of letting his hips finish through contact. Connor is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop his baseball skills!

10/18/2023 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic Connor is an athletic and speedy 2B in the 2026 class. In the field, he covers his defensive zone well with 6.96-7.06 speed. He has a quick 1st step and is on-time to field the baseball. Fields out in front and the ball sticks to the pocket. Redirects with clean actions and gets rid of the baseball well. At the plate, he stays square to the dish in his stance and his hands are comfortable. He has a controlled stride and his hands and hips are in sync. Demonstrates strike zone awareness and showed well with 2 hits and a BB on the weekend. Overall, Connor is an up-and-coming prospect and scouts are eager to witness his development at future BF events.

08/07/2023 - National Showcase - Redmond, WA Connor continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.96 runner. At 2B, defensive abilities are well above average as he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork in attacking and playing through ground balls well. Hands are clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph exit velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
