04/29/2012 - College PREP - Adrian (Detroit), MI Connor is a solid and athletic looking two-way player that will graduate in 2013. At the plate, he shows a strong load with good balance and makes good use of his lower half. He shows fast bat speed with a short path to the ball getting good extension after contact. He does have gap-to-gap power and gets his front foot down on time to hit. Behind the plate, he is in-line to throw, gains ground to second base and is sure handed. He makes consistent throws but needs to continue to build arm strength to improve his pop times. His is late to block and needs to work on beating the ball to the spot to keep it close so he can respond with his feet. At 3B, he has good pre-pitch prep with a clean exchange to throw and makes the routine play. He fields the ball deep at times which cause firm hands. He has limited range and has to work on a lower fielding position and being more aggressive to the ball to improve his infield play. Connor is a solid hitter and with some work on his quickness, will become a solid all-around player.
