01/09/2022 - All-In Membership - Houston, TX Connor is a RHP/1B who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame athletic build, with broad shoulders, and strength present. At 1B, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine, with active feet, and good body control at baseball. He works around balls and creates good fielding angles. He fields from a square/low fielding position, with hands out front, and has a quick/clean transfer. A long arm stroke with ability to throw from multiple arm angles. He made accurate and on-line throws across diamond, with good momentum towards target, and an arm velocity up to 85mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Showed a good approach as he stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields, and made square contact during BP. Has a fast barrel through the hitting zone with a high finish. He hit balls hard to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 93mph. On the mound, he has a big frame with long levers. He works down hill and lands square to target. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 80-81mph with arm side run, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth through the strike zone, and a developing changeup with some movement. CB was best pitch during his bullpen session. With another to further develop, Connor should make huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
