07/07/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory's National West Showcase Connor had an effective outing at the Baseball Factory West Showcase attacking hitters with upper 80s fastball that had good tail and sink, especially when down in the zone. He had good plane to his stuff and struck out 3 of the last 5 hitters that he faced. Connor's curve acted as a swing-and-miss pitch with good bite to it and some hard downer action. He also mixed in a slider that had more horizontal break and was thrown in the mid 70s. Overall, this is a quality arm with a good feel for pitching.

06/15/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Connor showed only on the mound at the event and continues to show as a prospect. Delivery is sound, repeatable allowing his arm action to work loose through the plate. Fastball showed a range of 87-89 mph with heavy action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with sharp breaking action and late depth. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with sinking action. Slider is hard with tight spin and short/sharp break. Off speed stuff shows as outstanding pitches that will get outs. Control is tremendous as he throws strikes with all his pitches. At the plate he continues to shine through a tall, open setup. Hands are quick (95 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and drives the ball to deepest part of the ballpark.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Connor is a RHP/SS who can swing it. At the plate, he has pro level hitting/power abilities. He has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack, crushing the ball to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 96 mph). At SS, he has plus lateral range (6.70 60 time), working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping across the diamond. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 84-89 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late/sharp break and is his out pitch. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for the pitch with arm side run. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all pitches. Connor has big upside and will get looks from top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities, possibly as a two-way guy.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
