01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Connor had an excellent showing at the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. He is an exciting profile of a solid defensive catcher with a run-producing bat. Connor takes a hack with controlled aggression and generates bat speed and loft power (91 mph exit velocity). He employs a hanging stride approach that allows him to be on time and he makes a strong and coordinated move through contact utilizing his lower half well. Behind the plate, Connor is a quiet receiver with strong hands and good presentation skills. He is very good on balls in the dirt and has the combination of durable frame and toughness you look for in a catcher. Overall, this 2022 prospect should garner quite a bit of attention as an impact bat who can stay at a premium position.

12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Connor is a very talented catching prospect in the 2022 class. Behind the plate, he receives the ball using quite/soft hands in a low position where he is able to track the ball well. Quick footwork allows him to replace his feet with a clean exchange recording pop times in the low 2's. Throws show carry and accuracy to the 2B bag. Great blocking technique allows him to be on time and center his body to keep the ball in front. Offensively, he starts in a square/athletic setup. He has an explosive lower half that translate to a loud/explosive barrel producing hard and consistent line-drive contact (89 mph exit velo). He projects to be a solid power hitter with gap-to-gap power. Overall, Connor’s ability on the field will be sure to attract attention from the next level.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Connor continues to show to show as a prospect on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as excellent tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times showed in the 2.09 with accuracy / carry (85 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side.

07/14/2020 - All-In Membership - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Connor is a very talented catching prospect who has a solid/strong build (6'1"/200). Behind the dish, he sits in with sway/flexion and tracks pitches into a soft mitt, framing well. He is quick laterally and centers pitches in the dirt off of his chest. Throws to 2B are on the bag with zip coming from a quick/clean transfer - 91 mph. With the bat, this RHH displays an athletic setup with rhythm to load getting back into a strong launch position. He whips the barrel with plus bat speed, connecting and driving the ball as it explodes off of his barrel. He hits the ball where it's pitched and sprays to all parts of the field. Connor is fun to watch and is a prospect to keep an eye on.

06/16/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Connor is a coachable C/2B prospect who continued to showcase his skills at the Omaha National World Series. Behind the plate, Connor sits in a low stance and tracks the ball into his glove. He throws with a loose arm and keeps his throws on the 1B side of the 2B bag. He is efficient moving to block and centers the ball in the middle of his body. Receiving the ball out in front of his body can help Connor improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with comfortable hands. He takes a level swing and rotates his core well, leading to solid contact to all fields. Connor can improve as a hitter by activating his hands more. With three more years to develop, Connor has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Connor is a coachable C/2B prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Select Training & Competition at Pirate City. Behind the plate, Connor shows efficient footwork and covers up well when blocking. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws to 2B, keeping them accurate with good carry through the bag. At the plate, Connor sets up in an open stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid getting into his load and finds the barrel well. He produces fast bat speed through the zone which leads to solid pull side pop. With four more years to develop, Connor has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/17/2018 - College PREP - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Connor is an athletic and talented 2022 utility prospect. Behind the dish, Connor presents a low/early target and works behind the ball. He has a clean exchange, efficient footwork, and stays directional toward his target when he throws. At 2B, Connor is on time with his prep step and creates angles to the ball. He has rhythm in his hands, field the ball out in front of his body, and creates momentum in his lower half when throwing the ball. At the plate, Connor Starts in an open stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He has a good bat angles, finds the barrel, and stays balanced through contact. Connor will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
