01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Connor is a strong primary 3B that also pitches. In the infield he has quick feet, sure hands, and good body control. He plays through the ball well with the proper footwork and shows good range at third. His exchange is quick and he makes accurate throws across the diamond. On the mound he has a good mound presence and nice tempo working quick. He attacks hitters with his 3 pitch mix and commands the zone with all pitches. His fastball has good arm side run, curve is developing, and his change has good run and sink. He is a big bodied pitcher that knows how to pitch and change speeds. Offensively, Connor is a line drive hitter with a good approach at the plate. He has strong balance, a level swing, and uses his lower half well. He could be a power threat at the next level if he continues to add strength.

07/15/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Plano (DFW), TX Connor is a solid, athletic, talented player who plays 3B and RHP. Defensively, Connor has fluid footwork, sure hands, and he fields the ball in an athletic position. He centers the ball well, his exchange is quick, and he throws with life and accuracy to his target. On the mound, Connor has a short / quick arm action, level shoulders, and his arm strength is very good. Offensively, Connor has a square set-up, good balance, and fast bat speed. He makes hard / square contact, he can work it gap to gap, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Solid overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
