05/07/2017 - College PREP - Bowie, MD Connor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared / athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in working to get behind balls and play through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/25/2014 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Connor is an athletic pitcher with a bright future in the game. On the mound he has a good tempo and solid mound presence. He is confident in all 3 of his pitches and will use them in any count. His fastball has late life, curve has late movement in the zone, and his changeup has good sink. At the plate Connor has an open stance, good balance, and he uses his lower half well. He has lots of raw power and good barrel accuracy consistently hitting line drives. With his approach at the plate and mindset on the mound, Connor will continue to strive in the game of baseball.

03/16/2014 - Interactive Video Program - Bowie, MD Connor is a lean, athletic, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. Defensively, Connor has quick actions, average footwork, and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He has a clean release and good arm strength to his target. On the mound, Connor has a long arm action, he works to his balance point well, and he finishes in a good position. He separates on time, and lands with a proper length stride. At the plate, Connor has good balance, a square stride, and an activated load. He swings in good rhythm, he has good bat speed, and he squares the ball up well on the barrel of the bat. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
