Behind the plate, feet are active as he gains ground and works through a clean / transfer exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed a range of 1.82-1.90 with throws displaying life, accuracy, and on line carry. Pop times are one of the best we have seen from the 2019 class. Arm strength is excellent as indicated by his top velocity of 87 mph. Hands are soft as he lets the ball travel and tracks well, sticking in the zone. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process as he is a wall behind the dish. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and works through a level swing path. He tracks the ball well and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Connor has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.
