06/05/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South This athletic SS shows a tremendous future on the diamond. A RHH- hands are quick as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. He has strength (90 mph exit velocity) in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip on his throws (95 mph velocity). Defensive abilities are near a pro level as he shows big play potential. Connor has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Connor is a very talented 2019 shortstop prospect with a complete all-around game. At the plate he has a balanced, repeatable stroke that allows him to find the barrel consistently. While his set-up and pre-pitch approach are very quiet, when he fires to the ball his quick hands work well and generate excellent bat speed. He went 2-4 with a walk at the UAAAPS Tournament in Arizona with several hard hit balls. In addition, as soon as he got on base he looked to use his speed and instincts to pressure the defense, stealing several bases. Defensively, Connor has natural actions, a good internal clock and a feel for picking his hop. His hands are sure with an efficient exchange and release, and he finishes plays with a strong, accurate arm. Committed to Ole Miss, Connor is an intriguing prospect as a player who can impact the game in many ways while playing a premium defensive position.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
