07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Connor is a coachable 1B/LHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Connor makes the routine plays and presents a good target to his fielders. Connor can improve defensively by getting into a more athletic fielding position. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a tall stance and gets into his load well. He keeps his head on the ball and takes a short swing, making solid contact. Connor can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Connor shows a good tempo as he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm action and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. Connor has a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65mph. Breaking ball sits from 55-56mph with 2-8 break. Connor can improve as a pitcher by driving his lower half more. With five more years to develop, Connor has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
