12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Connor continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, he shows a squared, athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 78-80 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

10/18/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Charlotte, NC Connor is a lean SS/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 7.29 60 time. At SS, feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front as he works from the ground up. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds turn of the double play. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick feet well in covering ground. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 2 years to further develop, Connor has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
