04/26/2015 - National Tryout - Union City, CA Conor continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, he shows a balanced approach with rhythm to load. He swings against a firm front side and engages his lower 1/2 well, generating pop off of his barrel. In the OF, he has quick actions and tracks down fly-balls with speed. He gathers well and has a clean exchange gaining ground toward his target on the throw. At SS, Conor actively works around the GB and into a square fielding position. He is sure handed and has the ability to throw from multiple arm slots. A versatile athlete - Conor has a bright future ahead of him in the game.

06/21/2014 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Conor once again showed well in the competitive atmosphere of a tournament at the Omaha National World Series. Defensively, he made plays with good range and accurate throws. He was aggressive to come get the ball at times and made sure to get the first out on double plays. Quickening his feet and becoming more consistent with his approach to ground balls will increase fielding percentage. Offensively, he got his hands activated in his launch and was direct with the barrel down to contact. He was loose, had good rhythm and got good extension through contact. On the mound, he threw two pitches, with decent feel. He repeated his actions, gathering over the rubber with good balance. In all - with added strength over the next three years, Conor will be a solid prospect for college baseball.

03/23/2014 - National Tryout - Union City, CA Conor has molded himself into quite a solid prospect. At SS, he shows active footwork as he moves well around the ground ball. He fields smoothly, playing through the ball from right to left. He shows plus lateral range and can make the tough backhand play. With the bat, he shows a balanced approach with simple actions. He shows good rhythm as he gets back into a loaded position. Barrel delivery is quick down through the zone, resulting in line-drives. More extension through contact will help to increase power at the plate. Only a 2017 grad - Conor has a bright future in the game.

07/26/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City While at Pirate City Conor showed a good knowledge of the game, solid arm strength and good defensive skills. More specifically he is an athletic fielder with sure hands. Conor needs to work on lateral quickness/agility and overall footwork involved in being a middle infielder. On the mound he displayed command of three pitches, good tempo and change of speed. Also Conor should throw his fastball and change-up more often and not rely too heavily on the curveball. At the plate he is balanced and his swing path is level but he needs to be aggressive, stride at the pitcher, use lower half more and get the stride foot down sooner.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
