08/30/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Wilmington, DE Conor is a pure catch and throw backstop who also will make an impact with the bat. He did show at 3B for the first time at the event. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Runners will not want to test his cannon for an arm (86 mph velocity) with impressive pop times of 1.90. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through a love approach. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Offensively, he continues to shine with outstanding hitting abilities with excellent power potential. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage, resulting in a barrel explosion (93 mph exit velocity) with the ball screaming off of his barrel. Conor has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Conor continued to show as a prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. Behind the plate, Conor shows active footwork and is very agile moving to block balls in the dirt. He has a quick exchange with a quick release on his throws, leading to pop time as low as 1.96 seconds. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He shows a smooth rhythm and maintains center balance. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed which leads to square contact and line drives. Conor is a skilled prospect who has upside on the diamond.

01/13/2017 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Conor is a dynamic offensive force with budding catching skills that make him a very exciting prospect. He moves well laterally to block and cover ground to smother everything in the dirt. He works around the ball to receive, presenting a good, low target to pitchers and shows a quick exchange and release to throw with accuracy. He is a pure hitter at the dish with bat whip through the zone and quick hands that get to everything. He gets through the zone with lightening quick speed and makes consistent, hard contact with gap power on a line. Conor wows with his skills and shows great potential for the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
