Official Scouting Report

01/22/2023 - National Showcase - Bothell (Seattle), WA Conrad is an exceptional OF/C prospect in the 2023 class. In the field, he shows quick feet and takes solid routes inside the baseball by opening his hips properly. He beats the ball to the spot and uses his momentum to work through it. Has an athletic fielding position and the ball sticks to his pocket. Shows a quick exchange and gains a high ¾ release. His feeds have carry (83 velo), accuracy and he can prevent the extra base. On the mound, he operates with a 3 pitch mix from a ¾ slot and is in the zone. His FB topped 76 with tailing actions. His CB sat 63-4 with 11-5 shape and early break. His CH has sink and deception at 67-9. At the plate, his power contact is exceptional (95 exit velo). Ball jumps off the bat by using his lower half well and controlling his weight distribution. Can drive balls to the gaps and with more barrel time in the zone, he will be able to backspin the baseball. Overall, Conrad is a difference maker and will be a great addition to a college roster.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Conrad is an OF/RHP in the 2023 class. In the OF, he plays aggressively and comes and gets the baseball. He gets great reads off the bat and works to take solid routes and angles to the baseball. Shows advanced pocket awareness and his exchanges are clean. Arm plays at 86 velo and the release is quick. Working to throw the top of the baseball will assist with accuracy as he moves to the next level. At the plate, he is physical and explosive. Registered 93 on his exit velo and the ball jumped off the barrel in BP. His hands and hips are connected and shows he can work from the ground up. He id not pitch at the event due to rain on day 2. Overall, Conrad is a next level player with a bright college future.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Conrad continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Recruiting Classic showcase. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way (6.80 60 time). Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (95 mph exit velocity) as he connects with power driving to all parts of the field. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 78-81 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Command / control is solid as he locates well to both sides of the plate. With 2 years to further develop, Conrad has a tremendous upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches, possibly as a two-way guy.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Conrad is a RHP/OF prospect who showcased his skills during the Opening Day Classic. On the mound, Conrad gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and finishes with a controlled landing. Conrad shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 62-64mph with 11-5 break. Striding inline toward the plate can help Conrad improve his pitch command. In the field, Conrad makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Conrad can field ground balls more efficiently by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He hits against a strong front side and produces consistent line drives. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Conrad create more consistent contact. Overall, Conrad is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Conrad is a young RHP/OF that will graduate in 2023. Pitching, Conrad shows a 2-pitch mix with a FB/CB combo and fills up the zone with both. The FB shows some arm side run while the CB profiles with 10-4 shape. On the bump he works just from the stretch and separates his hands on time with a quick arm action. He keeps his stride in line to the plate and accelerates his body well as his front foot hits finishing rotation all the way through. In the OF Conrad shows good angles to the ball with a + plus 1st step with good range. He presents a confident glove fielding the ball and makes clean exchanges. His throws to the infield are accurate from a 3/4 arm slot. At the plate, he starts in an open stance with high hands and gets the barrel on plane early. Conrads swing is smooth making consistent contact showing a line drive approach. Getting on a solid weight training program will allow him to produce more power. Overall, Conrad shows solid abilities to be a 2-way player and will continue to develop.

09/30/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Bellevue (Seattle), WA Conrad is a tall, lean, 2-way player who plays OF and RHP. On the mound, Conrad has eyes on target, a free arm circle, and he has a controlled landing toward home; competing in the zone. At the plate, Conrad has a square set-up, good balance, and solid extension. He has fast bat speed, a direct barrel to the ball, and he gets solid extension through. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
