07/20/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Cooper is an athletic (5'11"/180) 3B who can make things happen on the diamond. Defensively, he shows active pre-pitch footwork and moves fluidly right to left into a square/athletic fielding position. He tracks GB's into his mitt, gathers well and has a quick/clean transfer to throw. At the plate, this righty displays an open stance with centered balance. He takes a hack with + bat speed, swings against a firm front side and squares the ball up, spraying line-drives. Only a 2024 grad - Babb is a 3B prospect to keep an eye on over the next few years.

12/01/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Sacramento, CA Cooper is a tall, athletic, 2-way player who plays 3B and RHP. Defensively, Cooper has active feet, a presentable glove, and he fields in a square position. He has good range, takes proper angles to the ball, and he makes plays consistently with a loose arm across the diamond. On the mound, Cooper has a balanced delivery, he separates his hands on time, and gets good extension on his pitches. He has a loose arm circle, lands with a proper length stride toward home, and throws strikes. Offensively, Cooper has a square stance, good balance, and explosive bat speed. He makes hard contact, he can spray to all fields, and he uses his lower body. Solid overall skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
