10/09/2019 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Cooper continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth/clean actions. Feet are active as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft/sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground. Hands/feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and zip (88 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (93 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/02/2019 - College PREP - Waleska (Atlanta), GA Cooper is a strong, athletic outfielder that graduates in 2020. Cooper shows off an arm in the outfield with an 88 MPH raw velocity. He is aggressive to the ball and takes plus routes to show off agile range. His hands are soft and makes clean exchanges with throws that are online with carry. At the plate, Cooper sets up slightly open in an athletic stance and keeps his balance centered. He fires his lower half through well creating explosive bat speed that gets on plane. Cooper makes consistent and square contact showing the ability to be a gap to gap hitter. As a 2020, Cooper shows to be a solid prospect for a corner outfielder in the 2020 class.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
