08/05/2018 - College PREP - Burlington, VT Cooper is an athletic 1B prospect who will gradaute in 2019. In the field, Cooper shows the proper footwork and covers ground well. He fields the ball out in front and makes a clean exchange to throws, keeping them on-line with good carry through his target. Cooper can improve defensively by getting into a more athletic fielding position. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a closed stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and hits from a strong front side. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. Cooper can improve as a hitter by using the entire field. Overall, Cooper is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
