Approach works in game with consistent performance on the High School and Travel ball level. He is a solid average catcher presently with good hands for receiving with agility and quickness in the blocking portion of the game and a feel for handling pitchers. The arm strength is gets as low as 1.9 on workout throws and plays in game with pop times in the low 2.0 range and occasional sub 2.0 with carry and accuracy. He is a 3.8 student with a fantastic work ethic in the classroom and very driven academically and mature off the field. A high level prospect for the 2025 class.

At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing and drives the ball to his pull side. Cooper can barrel up more baseballs by working a smoother rhythm into his load. Overall, Cooper is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
