01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Cooper is an athletic SS in the 2023 class. Recently impressed scouts with his actions at the FL Preseason Tournament. In the field, he plays with energy and has the speed (7.16 60) and arm strength (83 velo) to play anywhere on the dirt. Moves his feet well to take proper attack angles and fields in an athletic position. Has pocket awareness and his exchanges are clean. Arm action is short and throws from a ¾ arm slot. Delivers the ball to his target with on-line precision. At the plate, shows the ability to use the gaps with his electric hands (84 exit velo) and back spinning ball flight. Demonstrates aggressiveness and intent to power through the baseball with a short direct approach. Cooper proved to be a difference maker on the weekend and raised his stock as a 2023 SS prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
