07/23/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Corbin is a solid, athletic SS/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 66-69 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and late break, showing as a quality pitch that will get outs. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 4 years to further develop, Corbin has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

01/26/2020 - Interactive Video Program - San Jose, CA Corbin is a tall, athletic, 2-way player who pitches and plays SS. On the mound, Corbin has good balance, a clean arm circle, and he works on a downhill plane. He throws strikes, his off-speed show well, and he finishes in a complete position toward home plate. At SS, Corbin has active feet, good prepitch actions, he fields squarely. He plays through the ball properly, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and direction across the diamond. At the plate, Corbin has an athletic stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, a direct swing path, and he works the ball well gap to gap. Overall skills can get even better with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
