08/03/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Corbin continues to make improvements in all the areas of his game. Defensively, his footwork around 1B has improved, evident of his 60-time and 5-10-5 time. He picks the ball with sure hands, showing improved footwork. At the plate, Corbin continues to drive the ball to the gaps with a strong lower half and powerful hips. He swings with strong wrists and with a more relaxed, patient approach will see his hitting abilities improve. Overall, Corbin showed very well and as he is entering his final season, will see success in between the lines.

02/22/2015 - College PREP - Dayton, OH Corbin is a LHH 2-way player (1B/OF) who has a solid build (6'0"/165). With the bat, this lefty displays a square setup with rhythm to load while remaining balanced. He takes an aggressive hack and connects with strength, driving the ball on a line. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 and pulls it with pop. At 1B, he has active footwork as moves well right and left. He is sure handed, fields the ball cleanly and gathers well. Presenting his glove and fielding the ball more out in front will help to improve he abilities at 1B. In the OF, Corbin takes a quick 1st step and works takes good routes to the fly-ball. He secures the ball, works through it smoothly and makes accurate throws into his target. Utilizing his lower 1/2 more throughout the throw will help to increase velocity. A solid all-around player - Corbin should fins success on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
