01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Cory continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Preseason All American event. At 3B, defensive abilities are excellent as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are firm and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (91 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying excellent hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all field with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

09/22/2021 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Cory continues to showcase his skills at the Arizona Junior Showcase. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with zip (90 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for barrel. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard on the field.

08/15/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Gillette, WY Cory continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and covers a lot ground. At the plate, he continues to shine with improvements through an athletic, squared setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. On the mound, fastball 78-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late / sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Cory is a SS who showed as a prospect at the All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At SS, he has plus lateral range, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws (87 mph velocity) zipping across the diamond. At the plate - he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a solid line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed in the upper 70 range with tailing action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters, working to get ahead.

09/23/2020 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Cory is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who showed very well during the Arizona Fall Classic. In the field, Cory shows smooth footwork with great first step quickness. He gets into a low position and fields with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making strong throws across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through an open setup. He is controlled getting into a small load and drives through well with his lower half. He gets great extension through the zone with plus bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. On the mound, Cory gathers over the rubber and shows fluid hand separation. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Cory operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 79mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 66-67mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits at 68mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Cory is a talented prospect who has a ton of upside and is a player to keep an eye on.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Cory continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with short break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Cory is a tall and lean 2B RHP that graduates in 2023. At 2B, Cory shows athletic movements taking a +1st step to the ball. He fields the ball athletically with his hands out in front of his body allowing him to make clean exchanges to throw. He creates momentum towards his target and gets rid of the ball with a clean arm action delivering the ball with accuracy and carry. At the plate, Cory sets up in a square stance with loose hands showing good rhythm as he takes a short stride. He keeps his balance centered as he delivers a smooth swing making consistent contact to all fields. We look forward to seeing his progress. On the mound, Cory uses a 3-pitch mix with a FB, CB, and CH. Pitching, he starts square on the rubber as he works to get to a good balance point. Working on creating better direction will help Cory be more consistent with his pitches. Cory can improve his overall game by getting a speed program and getting stronger. Overall, Cory is young and has several years to develop.

08/04/2019 - College PREP - Gillette, WY Cory is a 2B/C prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, Cory shows active footwork and shows good range to his backhand side. He fields with a firm glove and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistent to his target. Behind the plate, Cory blocks well to his glove side and sticks the ball well when receiving. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and leads well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent line drives. Overall, Cory is a talented prospect who should find success going into his freshman season.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
