12/09/2017 - Accelerated Hitting Weekend PHS- Columbia, MD Christian is a hard working prospect that made several adjustments during the Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, Christian starts in an athletic stance and has an open stride. He creates separation in his hands and uses his lower half. Christian shows good bat spend and is aggressive on the fastball. Continuing to attack the inside part of the ball and keeping his head down on the ball will help him get extension in his swing. Christian will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

10/22/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Potomac, MD Cristian is a SS/C who will graduate in 2023. Defensively at SS, he works into a low/athletic fielding position and attacks the GB. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. Behind the plate, he shows a square/athletic setup with quiet eyes. He receives pitches with a soft mitt and has a quick exchange to throw. With the bat, Cristian sets up square with fluid rhythm. He whips his barrel fast through the zone and drives pitches with pop to his pull side. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Quick footwork
2. Work around the GB
3. Arm strength long toss)
Catching
1. Lateral range
2. Quicker to block
3. Gain ground on throws
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Improve bat speed
3. Lower 1/2 drive

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
