01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Cristian is a 2026 OF/RHP who showcased his skills at the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. In the OF, he tracks the ball well and works through the baseball. He has a clean arm stroke in back, with a 3/4 release point coming forward, and an arm velocity up to 77mph. Made accurate throws into infield and arm fits the position. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance with high hands. Showed a good approach and is centered at contact. Hit balls consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 72mph. During the tournament, Jack showed good plate discipline as he reached base 4 times with a single, 2 base on balls, and was hit by a pitch. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch. Works with good tempo and keeps his eyes on his target. He attacks hitters with a "heavy" FB that topped out at 77mph, and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Cristian making huge strides on the baseball diamond.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Cristian is an OF/RHP prospect who showed well during the Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Cristian covers ground well and fields in a square position. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and works through a direct swing, spraying the ball to all fields. On the mound, Cristian gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Cristian operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 73mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 64-66mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 64-65mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Cristian is a talented prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Cristian continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 72 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

08/15/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Waldorf, MD Cristian is a lean, athletic OF/LHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, delivery is sound, repeatable allowing his arm action to work loose through the plate. Fastball showed a range of 62-64 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength. With 6 years to further develop, Cristian has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
