04/30/2017 - College PREP - Fairfield (Sacramento), CA Cuyler is a solid all-around player who continues to show well on the diamond. With the bat, this righty stands in well with an athletic setup and solid base. He gets loaded with good hand separation, and tracks pitches into the zone. He barrels the ball up consistently and has the ability to drive it the other way on a line. At 2B, Cuyler shows active pre-pitch footwork moving well on the balls of his feet as he's ready to move right or left. He comes to get the ball and works into a low/athletic position, playing through the ball well. A 2017 graduate - Reynolds possesses the skills that will play at the next level.

02/12/2017 - College PREP - Stockton (Sacramento), CA Cuyler is a tall, lean 2017 2B prospect. He is a very sound, reliable fielder at second, making all the plays up the middle. He shows quick feet and efficient angles that give him extensive range to scoop up anything hit his way. He fields in an athletic position and has a quick exchange and release to turn a good DP and make accurate throws to first. At the dish, he shows spray tendencies with a direct path to the ball along with an incorporated lower half that generates bat speed. He works from a powerful bat angle and gets extension through contact to drive the ball to all fields for base hits. Two ball soft toss will increase reaction time and hand speed through the zone to make him a dangerous hitter. Cuyler is an interesting prospect we look forward to watching during his senior season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
