09/18/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Brockton (Boston), MA Cyle is a RHP/SS who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame lean build with some strength present. At SS, starts with a good prep-step and active footwork. Works from right to left and fields from a square fielding position with ability to pick out hops. Has a short arm and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 72mph across the diamond. Made on-line throws consistently across diamond. On the mound, he works with good tempo and pounds the strike zone. Showed some deception to his delivery and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. He throws a FB that sits 73-74mph with sinking action, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with depth through strike zone, and a changeup that he throws with FB arm speed but needs to adjust his grip to get a bigger speed difference. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Lower half driven swing, with short/square glide step, and keeps his weight between his knees. Has a direct barrel path with a good bat angle and a middle of the field approach. He squared up balls into both gaps with with a bat exit velocity up to 77mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way player having a bright future on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
