06/15/2013 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 Cyle continues to improve on the mound and is still developing at the plate. He has adjusted his back side arm action to be smoother through his release and has improved overall extension to the plate in the process. He stays over the rubber well to gather at his balance point. He gets his chest over his lead knee to finish consistently and will benefit from being more directional in his stride to eliminate tendency to fall to both 3B and 1B side from pitch to pitch. As a 1B, Cyle proved to be a sure handed defender with some feel around the bag and should continue to work on quickening his exchange, playing with more sense of urgency and stepping directly to his thrower to improve ability to stretch to the throw. At the plate, Cyle uses an athletic setup, puts the ball into play consistently and shows good strike zone discipline by rarely expanding. Getting his front foot down earlier will put him in a better position to be a little more effective at the plate by allowing him to use the strength generated by a sound lower half. Overall, Cyle shows the most potential on the mound where he has the ability to change speeds while pitching to contact and has a very durable arm that allows him to bounce back quickly and throw multiple times in a week.
