01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Athletic and solid in all aspects, Daalen performed very well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. He seemed to be on base every time our scouts looked up and he did damage when he was on, stealing five bases. He's instinctual and aggressive on the bases, and in all that he does on the field, and he possesses excellent straight-line speed (6.70 in the 60). With raw arm strength in the field (91 mph) and at impact at the plate (91 mph exit velo), Daalen is an exciting SS prospect to follow.

06/05/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Adderley is a talented athlete who is fun to watch. Quick/fluid actions allow him to work naturally through the baseball as he has a quick release and zip on his throws across the diamond (91 mph). He has plus lateral range and makes the tough plays in the hole and to his glove-side with ease. At the plate, this righty stands in well with fluid rhythm. Quick hands whip the barrel to and through the contact point as he extends through and drives the ball to the deep parts of the park. Daalen also has game changing speed (6.63 60 yard). A special player, Adderley has the ability to make things happen both offensively and defensively.

03/04/2018 - College PREP - Chattanooga, TN Daalen is a solid, athletic SS who has a tremendous future on the diamond. Foot speed is superior as indicated by his 60 time of 6.62. In the MIF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Arm strength is outstanding (86 mph exit velocity) with throws zipping across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine displaying outstanding hitting with well above average power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Daalen has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
