05/21/2023 - National Showcase - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Dae is a 2026 C/RHP prospect with a strong frame at 5'8" 180 pounds. Behind the dish, he shows off efficient feet and takes great angles when blocking. He gives a good, low target and shows off a lot of flexibility. He does a great job of deadening the ball with his hands. His exchange is clean and he has a short arm action from a 3/4 slot. He recorded a low pop time of 2.19s. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance and gets a good back load with an on-time stride. He showed off some extension and the ability to hit the ball to the opposite field on a line. His lower half is solid and he squares the ball up consistently. He works hard to keep his swing compact to contact and recorded a max exit velo of 88 MPH. On the mound, he has a repeatable delivery with an on-time separation to the plate. He keeps his eyes on the target and shows off a good pace. His FB features some tail. His CB and SL show off some good break and he maintains good arm speed when throwing his SL. Dae is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see develop more with 3+ years of high school left!

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Dae is a C/RHP with a strong frame. He has an advanced baseball IQ and is coachable. Defensively, he has a low athletic set up and presents a solid target for his pitchers. He has clean exchanges and a quick release (2.35). His throws are accurate and with further arm strength, he will develop more carry on the baseball. He squares on blocks and his quiet body allows him to keep the ball in front of his eyes. On the mound, he uses a two pitch mix. His FB is 68 and his CB/SL combo is 57-62 that he can locate in the zone. He has good poise on the mound and has an understanding how to pitch. At the plate, he has a balanced set up and great body control in the load phase. His quiet head allows him to identify pitches and is strong to his pull side. Dan has a very bright future ahead of him.

10/24/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Stillwater (Minneapolis), MN Dae is a strong C/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2026. Behind the dish, Dae creates good angles and deadens the ball when blocking. He shows good pocket awareness and receives with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he works to make accurate throws to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He generates fast bat speed through the zone and sprays the ball to all fields. On the mound, Dae gathers over the rubber and keeps his eyes on target. He separates his hands on time and finishes with a controlled landing. Dae operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 66mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 57-59mph with 9-3 break. Changeup sits from 56-58mph with sinking action. With five more years to develop, Dae has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
