06/29/2016 - Under Armour Firecracker Classic 18U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Dakari continues to show improvements in his baseball tools with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.14. At the plate, he improved his hitting abilities through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 3B, he displays smooth, fluid actions. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

04/03/2016 - College PREP - Providence, RI Dakari is RHH 3B who has a strong build (5'7''/215). With the bat, this righty stands in with centered balanced and rhythm in his hands. Swing is quick to and through the zone with whip as he connects and drives the ball with pop (exit velocity = 88 mph). Defensively, he shows quick/active footwork and moves well around the GB into a square fielding position. He secures the ball, gathers well and works in-line toward his target. Dakari has a solid all-around skill-set that should provide success on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
