02/28/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Davie, FL Dakota is a strong, athletic OF who has a tremendous future on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way (7.32 60 time). He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Throws are accurate with on line zip (84 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power driving (85 mph exit velocity) to all parts of the field. Dakota has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the college coaches with his baseball abilities.

12/12/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Pompano Beach, FL Dakota continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 1B, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are active as he attacks balls and displays soft / sure hands. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Feet are aggressive as he works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with power showing best to the pull side.

11/10/2019 - College PREP - Davie, FL Dakota is an athletic and talented 2022 utility prospect. In the OF, Dakota reads the ball off the bat and works hard to field the ball in a proper fielding position. He has a proper exchange and makes the routine play. At 1B, Dakota works off the bag well and fields the ball in an athletic position. He has efficient hands and throws from a three quarter arm slot. At the plate, Dakota starts in a squares stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He has fluid rhythm/timing to the ball, he gets to balance at contact, and creates backside drive with his lower half. He drives the ball gap to gap and has a middle approach. Dakota will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/12/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Davie, FL Dakota is a (L/L) OF/1B who will graduate in 2022. Defensively in the OF, he hustles with active footwork as he tracks down hard-hit fly balls. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. At 1B, he takes active routes/angles and works into a square fielding position on GB's. He moves well around the bag and makes strong throws to his target. As a hitter, Dakota shows a quiet setup with smooth rhythm. He whips his barrel fast through the zone and looks to drive pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
