05/23/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Memorial Day Classic 18U Participant Showed a great feel for the game in the way he ran the bases, moved with awareness defensively and handled the bat. Nice balanced offensive approach, consistently hit line drives to CF and LCF. Battled with two strikes. Ran the bases well. Showed excellent defensive range, soft hands and a quick release.

09/21/2013 - 2013 Under Armour Futures Series East - Jupiter, FL Julylia showed a well rounded set of tools, along with a good overall feel for the game. He posted 6.97 in the 60 yard dash on a somewhat soft track. His speed is usable on the bases thanks to good instincts and an aggressive approach to the game. Defensively, his feet worked well and he maintained control of his body on his approach to the ball. He stayed low with the ball, and got his glove out front to actively and surely secure the ball. His actions were clean and he worked through the ball well, his arm worked free and he showed plenty of arm to turn the double play from 2B. At the plate, he hit from an athletic crouch, and worked his hands back along with a short stride to trigger his swing. His stroke was short, and worked through the zone on a level path. He rotated through the move well, allowing him to generate good bat speed and consistently deliver the good part of the barrel to contact. Overall, a talented "baseball player" type with tools - a rare combination.

06/12/2013 - Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One Florida Julylia has an athletic build with a high wait at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, he posted 6.81 in the 60 yard dash. He is an excellent defensive infielder. He stayed low with the ball and got his glove out front to play the ball. He ranged exceptionally well to his left and right, and was quick and precise with double play feeds and turns. At the plate, he hit from a balanced approach and showed a short quick stroke with bat speed. He stayed level through the zone, and hit the ball up the middle and the other way very well. He is instinctual and aggressive on the bases, and in general is an instinctual "baseball player" with advanced skills and athletic ability.

05/24/2013 - 2013 Under Armour Memorial Day Classic 16U Participant Quick twitch, real athletic, medium build, ton of bat speed, good foot speed, good base runner, good range, strong arm, good hands.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
