Official Scouting Report

  • Position Projection

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Dallas Martinez is a solid 2025 prospect. His soft hands at 3B and ability to make consistent and accurate throws across the diamond are impressive. He works his glove low and through the baseball and keeps his momentum working through his target. Dallas has a very strong arm for his age and this is at no surprise since he has a clean arm action to compliment a very projectable frame. At the plate he projects as a gap to gap hitter with some power in his bat. He delivers the barrel to the baseball on a direct bat path and will continue to drive baseballs harder and further as he fills out. The ceiling is very high for this 2025 grad and he will continue to develop as he grows into his frame.

11/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Las Vegas, NV Dallas is a 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build, with high waist, and strength present. At 3B, he works to center the baseball and ability to make routine plays. Tries to create good fielding angles with a good glove angle. Made on-line throws from an over the top arm slot and an arm velocity up to 84mph. On the mound, gathers over the rubber, with a good rear hip coil, and has a controlled landing. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with a long arm stroke, and gets his chest over front knee. Flashed a FB that sat 72-77mph with plus command, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with good depth, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate, he hits from an upright and square stance. A simple/repeatable swing, with good hip rotation, and has a high finish. He hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
