Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • C/3BPosition Projection

11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Dallis is a hardworking C/3B prospect who has a versatile skill set. Offensively, Dallis has a square setup with his weight in the front of his stance. He takes a short, square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Dallis has a long, upward swing path and is developing bat speed. He has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Behind the plate, Dallis has a compact setup and presents a low target. He has effective hands and receives the ball with a stiff glove. Dallis throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a restricted arm action. His POP times range from 3.50-3.73 seconds and he is developing arm strength. Overall, Dallis is a projectable prospect who has potential to progress his game with development.

08/06/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Dublin (Columbus), OH Dallis is a 3B/C who will graduate in 2023. Defensively at 3B, he hustles hard laterally as he tries to work into a square fielding position. He tracks the ball well into his glove and tries to play through the ball towards his target. Behind the plate, he displays a square setup. He receives pitches with soft hands and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. With the bat, Dallis looks to do damage in the box. He swings aggressively through the zone and sprays pitches to all parts of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Lateral quickness
2. Develop soft hands
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Catching
1. Quicker footwork
2. Present low target
3. Accurate throws
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Improve bat speed
3. Lower 1/2 drive

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
