10/13/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Lexington, KY Dalton is an athletic, 2-way player who pitches and plays SS. On the mound, Dalton has a loose/clean arm circle, he separates his hands on time, and he shows a repeatable delivery. He keeps his eyes on target, lands with a proper length stride toward home, and he competes in the zone. At SS, Dalton has active feet, soft hands, and good pre-pitch actions. He funnels well, works the double play nicely, and throws with carry to his target. Offensively, Dalton has a tall/closed stance, good balance, and fast bat speed. He makes hard/level contact and uses his lower body. Solid skills can get even better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
