08/01/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Dalton is a young 2B that will graduate in 2014. His feet are active as he works to square balls up and displays clean hands. He needs to attack balls more, increase foot speed, and present his hands more out front to improve defensive grades. His throws are accurate but will benefit by getting on a long toss program to aid in building more arm strength. At the plate, Renn shows a balanced stance with rhythm. His hands are quick, flashing bat speed to and through the ball at contact. For hitting grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. At the event, he was 4 for 7 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be. With 2 years to further develop, Dalton has abilities with a lot of room to improve.
