07/29/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Dalton is a strong, athletic rising senior with a bright future ahead of him. At SS, Dalton moves with ease, works around balls and fields with smooth, sure hands. He works well to the BH and will improve with a more aggressive approach and becoming more vocal. Offensively, Dalton is a balanced hitter with a good set of eyes at the plate. He has a smooth stroke with a middle of the field, contact approach. As he works to refine his timing mechanism and engages his lower 1/2 he will see a more consistent, powerful swing. On the mound, Dalton throws with excellent command and feel for his pitches. He shows great poise on the mound with the ability to attack hitters down in the zone. Dalton is a next level player with the tools to succeed.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
