09/29/2021 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Damian is a 2022 infield prospect out of Plymouth, MA who continued to showcase his baseball tools at the Arizona Senior Fall Classic. In the infield, he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground in the infield. Throws are accurate with carry (91 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. At the event, he was 3 for 10 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

04/18/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Damian is a 2022 SS. Tall frame athletic build with broad shoulders and room to fill out. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Primary SS with quick/fluid footwork that allows him to move laterally. Plays low and does a good job of keeping eyes behind the ball. Clean through the exchange to the throwing hand and threw from multiple arm angles. Arm strength to make plays in the hole as he threw it 862mph across the diamond. Good DP feeds and pivot. Right-handed hitter starts with an upright and closed stance. Hits into a firm frontside with good extension. On plane swing who squared up balls consistently during his BP round. Intent in swing, with power potential, who recorded a bat exit velocity of 83mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play at the next level.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Damian is a strong (5’11”/172) SS prospect in the class of 2022. He plays with energy and makes the game look easy. At SS, he uses smooth/efficient footwork to create range and cover the holes. He plays the position with calm/ready body language and uses a sure glove to play through the ball and create a clean exchange. Release is quick and throws are strong/online with zip from across the diamond (85 mph). He shines at the plate, as this RHH enters the box and sets up in a square/athletic stance. He uses a simple approach with a short/compact swing and fluid rhythm through his load. Damian generates power by working through his lower half and creates a consistent line-drive type contact. Damian is an exciting player to watch and we look forward to seeing his progress at future events.

09/30/2020 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Damian is a hard worker who continues to show well on the diamond and did so again at the Arizona Fall Classic. At SS, he displays smooth/clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft/sure and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands/feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on-line carry (84 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He swings against a firm front side, works to create leverage and drives the ball on a line. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 and will pull it with some pop. He is very coachable and showed his willingness to make adjustments quickly throughout the event. Brown has a ton of upside and will make an impact in this his junior year.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Damian is an athletic 3B prospect who continued to showcase his skills during the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Damian takes a good first step and shows efficient footwork. He makes the routine plays and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with life through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a soft stride. He is controlled getting into a small load and remains centered in his lower half. He takes a compact swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Overall, Damian is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

11/17/2019 - College PREP - Marlborough (Boston), MA Damian is an athletic SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Damian shows active footwork is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Damian is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/25/2019 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Damian continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. In the MIF, defensive abilities are now solid skills as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with zip (83 mph velocity) across the diamond as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

06/16/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Damian is an athletic and talented 2022 SS prospect. At SS, Damian is on time with his prep step and consistently puts himself in a solid fielding position. He plays through the ball, has good lateral range to his backhand, and has a strong arm across the diamond. He does a decent job on double plays but needs to get rid of the ball quicker and more efficiently. At the plate, Damian starts in an open stance. He has a short swing path and consistently finds the barrel. He's a contact hitter but needs to learn how to drive the ball to all fields, not just the left side. Continuing to create backside drive with his lower half and keeping his head down at contact will help him to stay through the ball better. On the bases he gets good reads off pitchers and runs the bases hard. Damian has tremendous upside and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Damian is a very hard worker who gives it his all to improve every day. He is a steady defender both at short and in the outfield with smooth actions and feel for the game. He is athletic working to the ball and has speed and agility to show extended range. He works through the ball with momentum and has a quick arm to get rid of the ball. At the plate, he shows a strong lower half to generate bat speed on a level, direct path to the ball. He is able to deliver the barrel consistently and makes lots of line drive contact. Loading to a power position will unlock more power to all fields. Damian is an exciting, young prospect with a bright future.

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Damian continues to show a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, displaying sure hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works inside the ball, flashing gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 2 for 4 with 3 BB as he shows good plate discipline. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

06/26/2018 - Interactive Video Program - New Britain (Hartford), CT Damian showed improvements in all areas of his game during his last workout with the Factory. At SS, Damian has quick feet, an aggressive approach, and soft hands. He has agile movements, fields squarely, and throws with accuracy and carry to his target. In the OF, Damian has easy/fluid actions, soft hands, and a strong arm with accuracy to his target. At the plate, Damian hits from a strong base, he has a tall set-up, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, he makes square contact, and works the ball gap to gap.

07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Damian continues to show a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through an uphill swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively.

06/20/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Bridgeport, CT Damian is an athletic, SS/OF who will graduate in 2022. Defensively at SS, he shows athletic actions as he works around the GB. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. In the OF, he has active footwork and takes aggressive routes to the baseball. He fields GB's with soft hands and has a clean transfer to throw. At the plate, Damian gets back into a quiet load. He swings on a short/level path through the zone as he drives pitches on a line. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
