Offensively, Dane is an aggressive hitter with a square set-up and proper load. He hits hard to the pull side and uses some lower body.

Dane is a solid, athletic C/2B who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying solid hitting abilities with well above average power potential through a tall setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line to his target through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed a range of 2.31-2.50 with accuracy / carry on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft / sure and he tracks balls well through the receiving process. He uses his body well through the blocking process and moves well laterally, centering all balls out front. At 2B, he displays clean actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper angles but needs to attack balls more and play through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure but will benefit by presenting more out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turn of the double play. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. With 3 years to further develop, Dane has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.
