10/29/2017 - College PREP - Corpus Christi, TX Daniel is a stout, strong two-way prospect who works hard every time he touches the field. He shows the ability to hit the ball hard and for power with a big cut at the dish and strength to drive the ball. He shows centered balance throughout his swing to adjust to any pitch and stay on the ball. His lower half generates bat speed and power as he extends through the ball to drive it to all fields. At the hot corner, he shows range to the backhand side with a good glove angle to make tough plays down the line. He fields square to keep everything in front and has a clean exchange to make strong throws across the diamond. On the bump, this RHP tries to work down in the zone where his pitches have more life and induce weak contact. He features a fastball into the upper 70's and a 10-4 curveball to keep the hitters off the fastball. Getting on top of his curveball consistently will lead to more movement and make it an out pitch. Daniel is an interesting prospect we look forward to watching during his senior year.
