06/16/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18)
Daniel is an athletic and hard working 2020 Catching prospect. Behind the dish, Daniel presents a low and quiet target. He works to the ball and has good hands on balls in the strike zone. He does a great job blocking and anticipates balls in the dirt. When throwing, he has a controlled exchange but needs to use his lower half, and quicken his release. Building arm strength will help lower his release times. At the plate, Daniel starts in a narrow stance and gets his front foot down on time. He rotates his lower half and hits the ball to all fields. He needs to continue load his hands back into the drive position, to hunt the fastball, and creates backside rotation with his lower half.
