11/03/2022 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at the Jackie Robinson Sports Complex Daniel continues to shine with his baseball abilities. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Daniel is a OF/C in the 2025 class. He is a potential prospect that will continue to blossom as his body develops and he grows into his frame. At the plate he has a great line-drive approach with the ability to spray the ball to all fields. The impressive plate discipline he possesses for his age give him upside with potential power. On defense the game awareness will come with more repetitions but he does a good job playing the position. He takes good angles to the ball and gets good momentum into his throws from the outfield and his footwork continues to improve. At the event Daniel ran his best 60 yard dash to date at 7.4 seconds and is continuously getting faster. As Daniel fills out he will be a very solid prospect to follow during the recruiting process.

07/05/2021 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (MS) Daniel continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved, through an open setup. Hands are quick (and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times has improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.36 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. He shows a solid setup, sticks balls in the zone and utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness.

03/06/2021 - All-In Membership - Lynwood (Chicago), IL Daniel is a lean catcher who will graduate in 2025. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in 2.75 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. At the plate, he shows a crouched, open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 4 years to further develop, Daniel has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
