07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Daniel continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate he has improved his power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 4 for 8 with 3 2B. At 3B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are aggressive in attacking balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-73 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Daniel has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.
